Dear donors,
We, Enrique, Amalia, Milagros, Estibalis, Alejandro and teacher Dalys, are the MLK scholarship dreamers 2015. We are students from the University of Panama who dream and hope to have the opportunity to study the English Language and American Culture in the United States. We, and our mentors, Leland Lazarus and Prof. Gloria de Ho, are very grateful for the valuable support you have given us; we really appreciate your willingness to give a hand to this cause.
The experience of going to The United States will help us a lot to improve and put in practice what we have learned about the English language. This knowledge will surely help in the development of our country. Once we come back, we can contribute to our communities in many aspects.
Our dreams are like stars. They shine high up in the sky without moving an inch. We tend to lose hope of reaching them whenever we face problems in life. However, they remain there waiting for the day when we finally launch our rocket, and see how big and bright they really are. Your support represents a part of that rocket, a very important one in fact. We want to thank you for helping us to fulfill our dreams, for believing in us and also for believing in education; no words can describe how much we appreciate it.
We wish you the best holidays on earth from the bottom of our hearts.
Sincerely,
The Dream Scholars
