Tell Me a Little Bit about your Hometown:
In my hometown is really crowded, but there are amazing people that have a lot of talent, especially in sports. As San Miguelito is so crowded, we have some issues as: pollutions, transportation system and delinquency; however, there are people like me and many others that study and I believe that that’s the first thing in a community. Also, there are many churches and public schools that help to my community to become a better place and overcome those social issues. The specific place where I live is named Mano de Piedra (This name comes from the nick name of our boxer championship Roberto mano de piedra Duran).
Favorite Hobby:
My favorite hobby is painting. I love everything related to arts and Fashion design. I attend to the art club of the University of Panama. I like to paint because all my ideas becomes real when I paint them. Through painting, I have develop many skills as: to see art as a way of expression, to be creative in everything that I do, and how to understand that everyone is different and have his or her own perception of beauty. This hobby will be my future business because I would like to have my own company of fashion designing and my gallery. Also, in a future I would like to have a foundation that helps people, especially children, to develop their artistic skills.
What do you hope to learn in the U.S.?
I hope to learn more about the English language, because through it I can reach more information that will help me to become a proficient professional. In the cultural aspect I would like learn the best from them in order to apply it to my life. Also, I would like to have friends, so to make friends will be another thing that I am willing to have in the U.S. Therefore, how is the university system in the U.S, and I like to learn as much I can to enjoy this amazing opportunity that all of you have provide us. Thank you for believing in us.
What’s one thing you’ll miss about Panama while you’re away?
